Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to inmates in correctional facilities.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patients' health status and progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on health management and disease prevention.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Experience in corrections or similar healthcare settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Additional certifications in corrections nursing.
