Mobile Patrol Security Officer

About the position

The Mobile Patrol Security Officer is responsible for ensuring safety and security within the community by conducting regular patrols, responding to emergencies, and engaging with the public. This role requires a valid NYS Security Guard License and involves working night shifts, primarily from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Officers will drive a security vehicle and perform security checks while documenting incidents and collaborating with law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Engage with the community to foster positive relationships and provide assistance as needed.
• Document incidents accurately and prepare reports for management review.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid NYS Security Guard License is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.

Nice-to-haves

• A militarized background or training can be an asset but is not mandatory.
