This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection and processing in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct vital signs assessments prior to phlebotomy procedures.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of specimens collected.
• Maintain accurate records of all specimens collected and processed.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience during the collection process.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure proper handling and transportation of specimens.
• Stay updated on clinical laboratory procedures and best practices to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in specimen collection processing and phlebotomy techniques.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and clinical laboratory environments.
• Ability to perform vital signs assessments competently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
• Proficient in aseptic techniques to minimize infection risk during procedures.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in various locations.
