About the position

The Mobile Phlebotomist role involves collecting blood samples from transplant patients in their homes or workplaces. This per diem position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, particularly in venipuncture, and the ability to manage patient scheduling and communication effectively. The role emphasizes compassionate care for patients who may be emotionally and physically fragile due to their health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Contact and schedule each patient within 24 hours.
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling, patient issues, or draw complications.
• Collect specimens adhering to kit instructions to ensure accurate testing.
• Pack and ship samples the same day using FedEx with tracking provided by the company.
• Promptly invoice draws for payment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification.
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide respectful and compassionate care to patients.
• Ability to follow established procedures and exercise exceptional judgment.
• Organized method for contacting and scheduling patients.
• Strong preparedness and time management skills.
