About the position

The Mobile Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining mobile systems and technologies to ensure smooth business operations. This role involves collaboration with the corporate IT team to provide technical support, resolve hardware and software issues, and ensure optimal functioning of all mobile systems. The position requires direct interaction with associates across a national organization, addressing IT inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and setting up or repairing mobile equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain mobile devices such as phones, tablets, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and troubleshoot mobile hardware and software.
  • Address technical inquiries from colleagues and resolve break/fix issues as required.
  • Document and track support tickets and escalate issues to appropriate teams as necessary.
  • Set up and configure mobile equipment for employees, including operating systems and required applications.
  • Support department leaders for mobile devices and oversee mobile text message archiving.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed for critical systems.
  • Occasional travel, up to 5%, may be required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Apple iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms and related technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Extremely strong listening, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills within a highly regulated and time-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of Telecom Expense Management systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of mobile carrier networks is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and Samsung Knox desired.
  • Experience working with Active Directory and Office 365, particularly in mobile device integration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Telecom Expense Management systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of mobile carrier networks is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and Samsung Knox desired.
