About the position

The Mobile Tester Android - Manual and Automation role involves designing, coding, testing, and debugging mobile applications to meet system standards and functional requirements. The position requires unit testing, code reviews, and serving as a technical leader for junior staff. The tester will also write mobile automation code using Espresso for Android UI Testing and maintain test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug mobile applications.
• Conduct unit testing and code reviews for approved projects.
• Serve as a technical leader for junior staff.
• Write mobile automation code leveraging Espresso for Android UI Testing.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Document and report defects found during testing, including detailed screenshots and video recordings.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field required.
• 3-5 years of software development experience in C, C++, Objective C, or Java.
• 2-3 years of experience developing mobile applications in iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, or Blackberry.
• 1-3 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java, Kotlin, SWIFT, or other object-oriented programming languages.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Appium or other mobile automation frameworks.
• Strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of various mobile devices and operating systems.
• Understanding of concepts and methods in client/server interactions.
