About the position

The Mobile Veterinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of veterinary clinics, ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintaining relationships with retail partners, and providing leadership to clinic assistants. This role involves direct interaction with pet parents, managing clinic flow, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for pets during wellness procedures. The supervisor also plays a key role in coaching and mentoring staff while promoting the company's values and services.

Responsibilities

  • Collect payment, dispense and label medication, and review discharge paperwork with pet parents.
  • Ensure safe restraint of pets for wellness procedures including vaccines, nail trims, and microchipping.
  • Coach, mentor, and inspire veterinary clinic assistants.
  • Monitor processes, procedures, and pet parent interactions for clinic assistants.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting surfaces and equipment between each pet.
  • Record accurate and detailed pet records and bio notes, and report incidents to the correct parties.
  • Drive the van to and from clinics responsibly, loading and unloading the vans upon arrival and departure.
  • Make strong recommendations based on an understanding of canine and feline diseases.
  • Promote a culture of safety in each clinic and reinforce brand promise with pet parents, partners, and team members.
  • Execute inventory processes, including maintaining accurate product counts and understanding expiration dates.
  • Direct the clinic flow using effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Engage in weekly or biweekly 1-on-1s with office leadership for continued leadership development.
  • Provide customer service to pet parents by answering questions and assisting them through the clinic process.
  • Achieve goals set by the manager, including dollars per pet and preferred product sales.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with pet parents and partners.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work weekends, varied weekdays and times, and occasional overnights.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Professional appearance and positive conduct are essential.
  • Punctuality and dependability are highly valued.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle for long hours and in various terrain and weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service sales experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Ability to navigate computer hardware (iPad, Bluetooth devices, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Comfort level in approaching host location's customers to educate about clinics.
