About the position

TCI is seeking a Mobile Web Developer to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for extensions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Java/Java EE applications and supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from concept and design through to testing. This role requires a strong understanding of user requirements and the ability to envision system features and functionality. The Mobile Web Developer will design and develop user interfaces for internet and intranet applications, setting expectations and prioritizing features throughout the development lifecycle. In this role, you will determine design methodologies and tool sets, complete programming using various languages and software products, and design and conduct tests to ensure the functionality and performance of applications. Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms will also be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will support users by developing documentation and assistance tools to enhance user experience and application usability. This position requires US citizenship or permanent residence (Green Card) and is open only to local or regional candidates. Please note that this is not a C2C opportunity, and candidates must be available to work onsite 4-5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
• Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle.
• Determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.
• Designing and conducting tests.
• Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Java 17 or higher.
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Must have SpringBoot Experience.
• Experience mentoring or training others.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience in the Spring Framework.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
