The position of Model Process Governance Analyst is integral to the ongoing support of the Model Risk Management program within the Bancorp. This role is primarily focused on assisting the Senior Model Process Governance Analyst in various tasks that are crucial for the effective management and governance of model risks. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including coordinating model validation needs, maintaining the model inventory, and addressing validation issues. The analyst will also be involved in the documentation of models and will review the results of audits and regulatory reviews to ensure the integrity of source system data. In this role, the analyst will partner with the Lines of Business (LOB) to ensure that appropriate controls are in place for security, change management, and ongoing monitoring of the models. This includes a commitment to learning the fundamentals of model validation controls and governance, as well as understanding the various areas of Risk Management, such as Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Operational Risk. The analyst will assist in maintaining the Model Inventory and the Model Issue Tracking Database, ensuring that all supporting model documentation from model owners is collected and maintained. Additionally, the analyst will play a key role in reviewing audit and regulatory review results, verifying the integrity of source system data, and collecting evidence of ongoing monitoring by model owners and users. As a non-voting member of the Model Risk Management Council, the analyst will attend meetings and assist in preparing notes and updates for the Capital Committee. The role also involves compiling reports that include findings from quantitative analysts and undertaking other projects or tasks as assigned by the Senior Model Process Governance Analyst or the Director of Model Risk Management.
