About the position

The Model Validation - Advisor role at Fannie Mae focuses on identifying and managing model risks associated with business activities and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

  • Assist team in identifying and reporting existing and emerging model risks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand workflow processes for model validation and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, reported, mitigated, and controlled.
  • Produce qualitative and quantitative analyses for project management and executive-level reports.
  • Collaborate on technology solutions for accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve business performance and support strategies.
  • Apply understanding of business context to interpret results and assess risks.
  • Oversee ad hoc quantitative analyses, modeling, or programming using various tools.

Requirements

  • 6 years in model governance, validation, reporting or development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in creating visual concepts and editing content.
  • Adept at engaging with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Expertise in quantitative analytics in financial services.
  • Experience in developing and testing hypotheses using statistical methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in Governance and Compliance.
  • Experience with reporting platforms like Tableau and Excel.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience in Learning and Training including instructional design.
  • Experience in risk assessment and management.
  • Focused experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
