About the position

As a Modeling and Simulation Data Scientist, you're excited about using code, math, models and data to answer questions relating human systems-from informal dark networks, through military units and transportation systems, to entire countries. When data is available whether structured or unstructured, you're prepared to employ tools from statistics, machine learning and natural language processing to extract useful information, patterns, and insights. When you don't have data, you're comfortable diving into qualitative and theoretical research and working with subject-matter experts to understand the behaviors and systems, and translating that understanding into computational models and simulations. On our team, you'll use your data, coding, and research skills to create real-world impact. You'll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, then work with your teammates to dig into data-rich environments to find meaningful patterns and develop models and simulations that yield unexpected insights. You'll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions.
