About the position
The Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer at Booz Allen is responsible for developing back-end solutions that enhance user experience through clean code, APIs, and analytics. This role involves collaborating with a development team to create custom tools and systems, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. The engineer will leverage their software engineering skills to address complex challenges and contribute to the overall architecture and functionality of the systems being developed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software programming applications using C++ and other programming languages.
- Collaborate with a team to create complete solutions for complex problems.
- Design, modify, and enhance existing software applications.
- Utilize modeling and simulation frameworks to generate effective solutions.
- Ensure that developed solutions consider future functionality and enhancements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in working with C++.
- 3+ years of experience in software development and programming languages.
- Experience in writing source code for new applications and enhancing existing code.
- Experience with both back-end and front-end languages for complete solution development.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field.
- Secret clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Simulation Models, including Radar, Sensors, or Aircraft.
- Experience with modeling and simulation frameworks, including AFSIM.
- Experience with pre- or post-processing scripting for large data sets.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and extreme programming.
- Experience with Data Modeling Architecture.
- Ability to work with automated testing tools.
