About the position

The Modeling & Autonomy Branch Manager at DCS Corp is responsible for leading a technical team that provides modeling, simulation, and technical analysis services in support of U.S. Government programs. This role involves personnel management, business development, contract execution, and office management, ensuring high customer satisfaction and compliance with contract requirements. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and collaboration within the Air and Space Technology Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 10+ employees, including personnel management and business development.
  • Support the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including responses to customer requests for information and proposals.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of staff, ensuring effective staff assignments and monitoring coverage.
  • Mentor staff and foster a collaborative and technically stimulating work environment.
  • Contribute to and monitor technical, schedule, and cost performance on assigned contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate office administration personnel and manage the office's security program.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • High School graduate with 14 years of experience in a technical field or a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of successful technical experience.
  • Active SECRET clearance required on day 1.
  • Experience working with U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • Experience in business development activities and managing technical services for the U.S. Government.
  • Excellent working knowledge of standard office tools and corporate information systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with the Intelligence Community, OSU, and State of Ohio.
  • Experience with the business capture lifecycle, proposal writing, and cost estimation.
  • Experience managing software development and/or research teams.
  • Candidates from the Columbus metropolitan area are preferred.
  • Experience or training in geospatial sciences.
  • Experience with DoD Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) markets.
  • Domain expertise in software development (C/C++, Java), modeling and simulation, and operations analysis.
  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • TOP SECRET clearance preferred.
