About the position

As a Lead Requirement Engineer at Clarios, you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing key phases of the requirement engineering process. This position involves optimizing existing processes, selecting and implementing tools, and ensuring effective communication across teams. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be essential in gathering and analyzing requirements, managing them effectively, and mentoring others in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Clarios customer contacts and directly with customers to identify specific product deliverables, specifications, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Perform reconciliation to meet product targets, utilizing historical test data, simulation data, or available vehicle battery application knowledge.
  • Validate and translate customer needs into clear and concise testable specifications.
  • Utilize existing modelling and simulation tools to make data-driven predictions and recommendations.
  • Verify that requirements meet customer needs according to project gates (Requirements Sign-Offs).
  • Anticipate next-generation customer needs to support next-generation product programs.
  • Select, implement, and configure tools to support the defined requirement process.
  • Analyse the current requirement engineering process, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Mentor others in the requirement analysis process and customer test specifications.
  • Perform requirements review in RFQ and RFI processes.
  • Apply internal and external standards in the requirements management process.
  • Support in identifying safety-related requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in engineering or science
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a development or advanced engineering role.
  • Proficient in coding with Python.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with design engineering, technical sales, customers, and program management.
  • In-depth knowledge of various battery systems, subsystems, and components, preferably Li-ion or lead-acid batteries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Requirements Management tools, such as JAMA Connect, ReqMan, etc.
  • Experience with A-SPICE, ISO 26262, and other processes.
