About the position

Ok's Deli in Oakland is seeking a Line Cook and a Part Time Cashier to join our team. We pride ourselves on making most of our breads, meats, spreads, and pickles in-house, offering a unique menu that blends culturally inspired and traditional sandwiches. The Line Cook position requires experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, while the Cashier role focuses on providing excellent customer service in a busy deli setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards as a Line Cook.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours.
• Handle cash transactions and provide excellent customer service as a Cashier.
• Participate in tip sharing with the kitchen staff as a Cashier.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced environment.
• 1 year of experience as a Cashier in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a deli or restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
