About the position

The Module Process Engineer will join the Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team at Apple, focusing on developing innovative manufacturing process technologies that address complex design challenges impacting the quality and delivery of Apple Displays and Touch technology. This role involves overseeing the process development of advanced key process modules from the concept stage through to product engineering validation builds, requiring a highly motivated and flexible thinker capable of problem-solving across various technical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays and Touch technology.
  • Serve as a focal point in the process development of advanced key process modules from concept to product engineering validation builds.
  • Lead projects from early development to high volume production.
  • Conduct failure mode analysis and root cause investigations to address product yield and quality issues.
  • Utilize DOE, data analysis, and SPC control in process development.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in leading projects from early development to high volume production.
  • Experience in the development of module processes and their integration in back-end processes of the Flat Panel Display & Touch industry or related fields.
  • Proficiency in DOE, data analysis, and SPC control.
  • Experience in failure mode analysis and root cause investigation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Excellent data handling and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Ability for international business travel to support project implementation.
