About the position

The Module Process Engineer will join Apple's Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team, focusing on developing innovative manufacturing process technologies that address complex design challenges impacting the quality and delivery of Apple Displays and Touch technology. This role involves overseeing the process development of advanced key process modules from the concept stage through to product engineering validation builds, requiring a highly motivated individual capable of flexible thinking and problem-solving across various technical areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays and Touch technology.
• Serve as a focal point in the process development of advanced key process modules.
• Oversee the process from concept/architecture stage through product engineering validation builds.
• Collaborate with external vendors for product manufacturing.
• Conduct failure mode analysis and root cause investigations to improve product yield and quality.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in project development from early stages to high volume production.
• Experience in module processes and integration in back-end processes of the Flat Panel Display & Touch industry.
• Experience in DOE, data analysis, or SPC control.

Nice-to-haves

• Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Project management skills including data handling and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
