About the position

The Mokara Spa Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Spa Director in the daily operations of the Spa and Fitness Center at the Omni Houston Hotel. This role involves coordinating and supervising spa staff, ensuring high standards of guest service, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the spa facilities. The supervisor will lead by example, motivate the team, and handle guest challenges effectively, all while contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Spa Director with daily operations of the Spa and Fitness Center.
  • Coordinate and supervise spa staff including massage therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, attendants, and front desk schedulers.
  • Provide the highest standard of guest service, creating a sensory journey for guests.
  • Ensure the Fitness Center is maintained to Omni standards at all times.
  • Coordinate opening and closing schedules for front desk and attendants based on business demands.
  • Monitor provider schedules and make necessary changes based on business needs.
  • Resolve guest challenges in a timely manner and communicate with management.
  • Communicate spa goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to the spa team.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Spa Director.
  • Book and confirm appointments, greet guests, and provide tours and beverages.
  • Motivate the team to up-sell, cross-sell, and pre-sell services and products.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in a hotel, resort, and/or spa environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Prior inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in computer systems and able to input information accurately.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and manage high volumes of reservations and guest requests.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership skills to direct, develop, and motivate staff.
