About the position
The Molding/Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining molding equipment in the medical device manufacturing sector. This role focuses on ensuring the production of high-quality medical components while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Perform regular inspections of molded products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Document and report any defects or issues in production.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of molding equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address technical issues promptly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
- Previous experience as a molding operator or in a similar role, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control methods and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in cleanroom environments (1 year preferred).
- Experience in the medical device industry (1 year preferred).
