About the position

The Molding & Press Operator position at a reputable aerospace manufacturing company involves operating molds and presses to produce quality parts with minimal supervision. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate press machine to create parts using molds
• Clean and prime parts with specified chemicals and solutions
• Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length
• Place various materials in molds, on mandrels, or in build fixtures by hand
• Weigh stock and salvage scrap materials
• Monitor production for defects and ensure early detection of faulty parts
• Use production equipment, including calipers and scales, routinely
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping in line with ISO standards
• Follow safety protocols and ensure work area is clean and hazard-free

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or basic proficiency in math, reading, and English required
• Relevant experience or education can substitute for specific qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read work orders and perform basic math
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
• Commitment to safety practices, including PPE usage
