Stanley Electric is seeking experienced Process Technicians for the Molding Process Technician positions, specifically for the 3rd shift. The Molding Process Technician positions range from Tech 2 to Tech 5, each with increasing responsibilities and requirements. The Tech 2 role involves fulfilling all duties of a technician 1, performing daily checks, coordinating start-ups, and solving moderate process issues. As you progress to Tech 3, you will be responsible for managing multiple injection molding machines, performing mold changes, and mentoring lower-level technicians. The Tech 4 position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and involves initiating projects to improve production efficiency and training new technicians. Finally, the Tech 5 role is the lead technician, responsible for overseeing production demands and acting as a liaison with production teams. This position not only requires technical skills but also emphasizes the importance of teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities
- Fulfills all duties of technician 1 position.
- Performs daily OCC/Dryer checks.
- Receives schedule from production and coordinates start-ups and mold changes.
- Solves process issues of moderate complexity.
- Performs new robot setups based off of existing programs.
- Ability to take an established OCC to another machine and set up rough process data.
- Writes up and issues deviations and OCCs.
- Responsible for 10-20 injection molding machines and peripheral equipment.
- Addresses process issues of medium to high difficulty.
- Works under minimum supervision and may mentor lower level technicians.
- Initiates projects to improve reject rates and 2S3D.
- Identifies potential problems and creates countermeasures.
- Can set up new processes in multiple styles of molding machines.
- Can edit/teach robot programs.
- Responsible for training and mentoring new technicians.
- Acts as a liaison with production and assists with scheduling concerns.
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of experience as a process technician or equivalent degree for Tech 2.
- Basic maintenance troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to solve process issues of moderate complexity.
- Ability to edit existing robot programs.
- Basic computer skills and documentation training.
- 2 - 3 years of experience as a process technician or equivalent education for Tech 3.
- Uses independent judgment for most activities and performs troubleshooting of moderately complex issues.
- Able to edit and program robots at an intermediate level.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a process technician for Tech 4.
- Carries out complex assignments with little or no supervision and creates new processes in various types of molding machines.
- Ability to program Wittman robots and independently resolve complex process issues for Tech 4.
- 6-8 years of experience as a process technician for Tech 5.
- Proficient in operating all injection molding machine styles and robot styles.
- Ability to solve process issues at an engineer level and complete complex projects.
