ARGON MEDICAL DEVICES IS NOT LEVERAGING SEARCH FIRMS Position Overview: The Tool/Mold Maker will build and maintain plastic injection molds and components from detailed prints and sketches. What you will do: Able to proficiently use all machine shop equipment with extreme accuracy. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and sketches. Must be familiar with metallurgy and heat treatment of steel. Able to lay out and make best use of materials and time to efficiently complete job assignments. Able to work with Production and Engineering and interpret needs to enable improved designs and processes. Able to use all precision measuring instruments. Must be familiar with the construction and workings of all types of Plastic injection molds. Must be proficient at trouble shooting and analyzing mold problems. Must be able to make accurate sketches of existing components. Must document and maintain mold history logs. Skills for Success: High School Diploma or GED. 8 years of tool/mold maker experience. Proficient in manual machining techniques and CNC programming. Strong knowledge of metallurgy, materials, and heat treatment processes. Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of tool and mold making. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Vocational School or Apprentice program a plus.
