About the position

The Molex Digital Internship Program for Summer 2025 offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various roles within the Digital Organization, including Data Science, Computer Science, and IT. Interns will work on significant projects, engage in problem-solving, and take ownership of their work while participating in professional development and networking opportunities. The program runs for 12 weeks from late May to mid-August 2025, providing a comprehensive introduction to the company's culture and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of engineering software applications.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and IT staff to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project documentation.
  • Contribute to Application Portfolio Management, DevOps, and Disaster Recovery initiatives.
  • Engage in learning opportunities and community involvement as part of the internship program.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automated solutions for digital processes and workflows in manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with individuals within the Digital Organization to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements.
  • Assist in integrating automation solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting issues and resolving technical challenges.
  • Engage with business leaders to understand their objectives, challenges, and opportunities, and provide guidance in leveraging digital technologies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define business requirements using Design Thinking methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support digital solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement.

Requirements

  • Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with software development and application support.
  • Understanding of relational database principles and ability to read and create SQL.
  • Familiarity with Angular framework and .NET framework, especially .NET Core.
  • Interest in automation tools and frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages and machine protocols.
