About the position

Molex is seeking a part-time year-round Electrical/Software Engineering co-op to join their Vehicle Solutions/Sensor team. This role offers an opportunity to work on automotive solutions, supporting the development of next-generation sensor modules. The position is designed for students enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or similar degree program, providing hands-on experience in software design, product validation, and concept demonstration.

Responsibilities

• Perform updates to existing product's software functions as needed
• Support identification of primary and alternate electronic components for new product concepts
• Setup and test software concept designs of new products
• Support debugging of faulty product samples
• Perform tests to record software sensor modules using software test tools and electrical measurement equipment such as multimeter, DSO
• Perform tests to record product specific test parameters using specialized tools
• Support test engineers with test setup
• Using pre-designed concepts, collect and process test data
• Setup test vehicle to support concept demonstration
• Generate and share report with engineering team
• Create, submit, and track crimp requests
• Track inventory supply of harnesses, terminals, electronic components etc.
• Inventory removal and submission requests

Requirements

• Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or similar degree program
• Eligible for full-time employment starting December 2025 - December 2026
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

• Prior internship/co-op experience
