About the position

The Mondale-Humphrey Scholars program offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain practical experience in state service through an internship at the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Interns will work alongside legal and non-legal professionals, contributing to the office's mission while developing their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. This part-time internship is designed for students from various academic backgrounds and will last for 10-12 weeks, starting in January 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Support legal and non-legal professionals in their daily tasks.
  • Assist in the development of policies and services that improve the well-being of Minnesotans.
  • Participate in collaborative projects and contribute to team discussions.
  • Conduct research and prepare written materials as needed.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student in good standing with an accredited post-secondary school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a legal or governmental setting.
  • Familiarity with public policy or legal research.
