About the position

The Monitoring & Automation - EM7 Engineer role is focused on supporting complex, Linux-based enterprise software applications. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring and automating processes within the organization, ensuring efficient operation and management of various systems and applications.

Requirements

• 2 years prior experience in the support of complex, Linux based enterprise software applications.
• Familiarity with common administrative commands and ability to write scripts in one of the major shells.
• Basic understanding of various devices in Collaboration, Network, Data Center and Security portfolios.
• Understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite.
• Ability to construct SQL statements to query and occasionally update information in a database.
• Good understanding of SNMP protocol, including familiarity with SNMP commands, MIBs and OIDs.
• Hands-on experience with one or more scripting/programming languages (Bash/POSIX, Perl, Python, C, Go, PHP).
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to professionally perform and communicate in stressful and high-impacting situations.
