About the position

The Windows/Linux System Administrator position at Nightwing involves managing and maintaining systems hardware and software within a multi-platform environment. The role focuses on supporting classified programs in both physical and cloud environments, ensuring the security and efficiency of IT systems. The candidate will work collaboratively with cybersecurity professionals and will be responsible for server management, cross-platform authentication, data backup, and software configuration.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to Windows/Linux infrastructure.
• Manage server operations including software and hardware in both cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premises environments.
• Implement cross-platform authentication and access management.
• Perform data backup and restoration tasks.
• Install and configure software applications as requested by end users.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and document advanced IT processes and procedures.

Requirements

• In-depth working experience in Linux Server Administration.
• Experience with Windows Server internals including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication methods.
• Prior systems administration and networking administration experience beyond account maintenance.
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, and other virtual computing methods.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
• Familiarity with Splunk and ESX.
