About the position

The Monolingual Customer Service Representative position at Maximus involves providing customer care and benefit enrollment services primarily through telephone interactions. This role supports the Health Texas project and requires a commitment to high standards of professionalism and customer service. The position is full-time and hybrid, with initial training conducted onsite, followed by the option to work from home. Representatives will handle inquiries, document interactions, and ensure compliance with performance metrics and privacy policies.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from consumers including the general public, prospective enrollees, and people assisting enrollees.
  • Track and document all inquiries using the applicable systems.
  • Complete associated tasks according to the established guidelines.
  • Meet Quality Assurance (QA) and other key performance metrics.
  • Facilitate the fulfillment of caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download.
  • Transfer/refer consumers to appropriate entities according to the established guidelines.
  • Escalate calls or issues to the appropriate designated staff for resolution as needed.
  • Facilitate translation services for non-English speaking callers according to procedures.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as requested and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-6 months of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Must reside in the state of Texas, AND within 70 miles of Edinburg, Texas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a call center environment.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
