LePort Montessori, part of the Spring Education Group, is seeking a passionate Montessori Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team at our Irvine, California location. The role is essential in supporting the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes a holistic approach to education, combining academics, practical life skills, sensorial exercises, and mixed-age group interactions. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding the educational standards established by Maria Montessori over 114 years ago, ensuring that each child can express their unique gifts, interests, and abilities. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Montessori curriculum, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as we believe in uplifting each other and working together as a community. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm, and it is a year-round role. Candidates must meet specific qualifications, including a minimum of a high school diploma and completion of at least six core Early Childhood Education units. Previous teaching experience is preferred, and all candidates must successfully clear a criminal background check. The position also requires compliance with all state education and licensing standards, as well as maintaining validation of credentials through professional development. This role is physically demanding, requiring frequent walking, standing, sitting, and the ability to lift and carry children as needed.
