About the position
The Montessori Preschool Teacher will be responsible for leading and teaching a classroom of children aged 18 to 36 months. This role requires a passionate individual who is committed to early childhood education and the Montessori method. The teacher will create a nurturing and stimulating environment, collaborate with colleagues, and communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress.
Responsibilities
- Lead, teach and operate Montessori classroom of children ages 18 - 36 months
- Train and supervise assistant teachers, providing feedback and follow-through
- Collaborate with other teachers in overall school operation
- Communicate with parents on children's performance and conduct parent conferences
- Work with the director on classroom operation, progress, and issues
- Set up and clean classrooms and other areas in the facility
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- Must have 3 units in each of the following Child Development courses: Child Development, Child, Family & Community, Program/Curriculum
- 3 units of Infant/Toddler class for Toddler Teacher position
- Must be Montessori AMS/AMI Certified or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years Montessori experience in an early childhood facility
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification
- 15 hours Health and safety (preferred)

- Spanish language skills (Preferred)
- Mandarin Chinese language skills (Preferred)
