About the position

McDonald Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish teacher to join our team for the Kindergarten and Lower Elementary classes (K-3). This part-time position is scheduled for the afternoons, specifically from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and involves teaching Spanish to five classes, each of which will be seen twice a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The role is essential in fostering a love for the Spanish language among young learners and contributing to their overall educational experience. The Spanish program is designed to run during the regular school year, from September through May, aligning with the academic calendar. As a Spanish teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children in the K-3 age group. You will also need to ensure that the curriculum is aligned with Montessori principles, promoting independence and a love for learning in a nurturing environment. Candidates must undergo a vetting process prior to working with children, which includes a federal background check, a state background check, and a Child Protective Services (CPS) background check. While native speakers of Spanish are preferred, it is not a strict requirement for this position. We are currently looking for a candidate for the upcoming 2024-25 school year, and we invite enthusiastic educators who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young students to apply.
