About the position
The Montessori Teacher at La Jolla Village Montessori School is responsible for co-teaching in a classroom environment designed for children aged 3.5 to 6 years. This role requires the teacher to maintain a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom that promotes the optimal growth and development of the children. The teacher will collaborate with other educators to create educational materials and plan engaging activities that align with Montessori principles. Additionally, the teacher will supervise children during outdoor playtime, ensuring their safety and encouraging positive interactions among peers. During class time, the teacher will work closely with colleagues to redirect children towards productive activities and provide assistance to those who may need extra help. The position operates on a full-time schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and offers competitive compensation based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and education.

Requirements
- Montessori Certification is required.
- At least 12 Early Education Units completed or in progress.
- First Aid and CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Willingness to submit to a background check as required by licensing.
