About the position

The Director of Strategic Accounts at Morgan Olson is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with key strategic accounts to achieve sales volumes and revenue targets. This role involves implementing sales initiatives, managing a support team, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely execution of priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key strategic accounts.
  • Implement sales initiatives to support the company's products.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Learn the customers' business to identify new product and service opportunities.
  • Manage and motivate a small support team to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, supply chain, production, and finance.
  • Forecast future production requirements with customers and communicate needs internally.
  • Effectively communicate the company value proposition and product features.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers.
  • Maintain payment within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction ratings according to company standards.
  • Stay updated with external developments and suggest new sales strategies.
  • Adhere to quality and safety policies.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the commercial vehicle market.
  • Prior experience with commercial fleet vehicle sales and/or engineering.
  • Strong CRM skills, with previous experience in Salesforce preferred.
  • Participation in the development of sales strategy and marketing materials.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Creative problem solver with new ideas.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Responsive and able to follow up with customers promptly.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a sales and marketing organization within the Truck or Body Building Industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
