About the position

The Moriviví Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Moriviví Residential Program, which provides emergency shelter for individuals fleeing domestic violence. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing staff, and coordinating services to support program participants in achieving permanent housing and stability. The manager will also engage with community resources and maintain a safe and effective environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall daily operations of the Moriviví Residential Program and safe dwellings.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines from the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and Human Resource Administration (HRA).
  • Supervise staff and facilitate case conferences and trainings to maintain high service standards.
  • Develop and implement supportive programs for victims/survivors of domestic violence.
  • Create and maintain accurate data for reporting purposes, including service delivery and occupancy rates.
  • Conduct regular inspections of safe dwellings and ensure maintenance and safety measures are in place.
  • Establish relationships with community agencies and oversee linkages for additional services for residents.
  • Represent the agency at community events and meetings.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff and supervise volunteers/interns.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, human services, or a comparable field; license preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in program management and supervision of direct service staff.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with shelters, Department of Homelessness (DHS), and Human Resources Administration (HRA) contracts preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the effects of domestic violence on homelessness and economic sustainability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TANF eligibility processes.
  • Familiarity with Evidence Based Practices (EBP) and Trauma Informed Care (TIC).
