About the position

The Mortgage Business Application Specialist at Johnson Financial Group is responsible for providing application administration support for all mortgage division systems, particularly the Loan Origination System (LOS). This role involves managing technical issues, integrating data, and implementing technology-based solutions to enhance mortgage origination, processing, delivery, and servicing. The specialist will also collaborate with corporate partners and support users on mortgage-owned applications, ensuring optimal system performance and user training.

Responsibilities

  • Manages system administration for Ice Mortgage Technology, Encompass.
  • Manages mortgage owned application actions including identifying optimal usage, testing upgrades/releases/patches, configurations/customizations, business rules, and system workflows.
  • Provides data queries and reports as requested.
  • Recommends and implements new software for the mortgage team to aid in cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Supports direct users on mortgage owned applications, including application submission issues, training, and communications.
  • Collaborates with corporate partners on interfaces from LOS to other systems including FIS IBS, general ledger, Freddie Mac systems, mortgage insurance vendors, and appraisal vendors.
  • Responsible for system upgrades/releases/patches and provides feedback on network/system performance.
  • Assists with group and one-on-one training in all areas of the LOS.
  • Responsible for system-related workflows, job aids, and procedures.
  • Functions as the key resource for LOS and mortgage system-related issues.
  • Provides support on technical issues within the LOS and other mortgage-related systems.
  • Leads system-related projects and ensures all interfaces are functioning properly.
  • Responsible for system changes requested by management.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in Mortgage as an Encompass Administrator, preferably certified.
  • High level knowledge of the loan origination process.
  • Competent in the use of Freddie Mac's LP and Fannie Mae's DU automated underwriting systems.
  • Innovative problem solver with the ability to research, analyze, and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to function in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • Flexibility in adapting to continual change.
