About the position
The Mortgage Compliance Specialist at Momentum Loans is responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements in the mortgage industry. This role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication with employees, clients, and vendors. The specialist will assist in developing compliance programs, monitoring business activities, and responding to regulatory inquiries, all while working in a collaborative office environment in Sandy, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development and implementation of compliance programs
- Monitor business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Facilitate changes in operating policies and procedures when regulations change
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and complete required compliance documentation
- Scrub loan data against compliance reports to ensure data integrity for submission to regulatory agencies
- Compile loan data for submission to third party QC vendor
- Analyze QC findings for trends and change recommendations
- Assist with state and LO licensing and renewals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge and experience with Encompass LOS and mortgage compliance regulations
- Detail oriented, dependable, and efficient
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle competing priorities effectively within established timeframes
- Punctual, motivated, positive, and hard working
