About the position

The Mortgage Loan Closer I at City National Bank is responsible for reviewing executed loan packages for accuracy and completeness, funding loans, and completing post-closing audits. This entry-level position requires attention to detail and the ability to meet compliance requirements while ensuring timely communication with internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensures file and documents meet all applicable bank and compliance requirements.
• Communicate and respond to internal customers within 2 hours.
• Confirms all applicable wait periods have been met prior to funding.
• Confirms all prior to funding conditions have been satisfied.
• Completes a minimum of 8 files per day.
• Issues post consummation-closing disclosures within the allotted SLA.
• Completes post-close audits of recently funded loans.
• Follows up for trailing docs as needed.
• Verifies and inputs loan information accurately into loan origination system.
• Verifies the correctness of subject property address, wire information, insurance policy information, all fees, and the correct set-up of any impounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year recent closing/funding experience
• Minimum 1 year basic computer experience (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state regulatory policies and procedures (TRID experience required).
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
