About the position

The Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of mortgage loans by following up with title companies to gather necessary information, validating loan documents, and facilitating communication between various departments. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with title companies on any missing information to clear conditions for loan processing.
• Perform routine data entry and validation tasks.
• Initiate third-party orders such as title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, and credit.
• Review and validate loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle routine calls, emails, and chat responses related to loan processing.
• Assign and distribute workloads among team members.
• Monitor work queues and intervene as needed to expedite processing.
• Interact with multiple departments to resolve issues and expedite processing.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in the mortgage industry, particularly in title work.
• Recent experience in the mortgage industry is required.
• Familiarity with Encompass software is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with commercial lending, FHA, VA, and consumer loans is a plus.
