About the position

The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) position is a full-time role focused on supporting established builder relationships in the Orlando and Melbourne, Florida markets. The MLO will work with builder leads and self-source business, building strong relationships with builder partners and customers while navigating them through the mortgage process. This role requires maintaining high loan quality standards and compliance with industry regulations, as well as achieving sales goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with builder partners and visit communities regularly.
• Participate in weekly pipeline status meetings.
• Interview customers to determine their financial needs and advise on appropriate products, terms, and pricing.
• Guide borrowers through the mortgage process and gather required information through clear communication.
• Maintain high loan quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Meet sales goals and objectives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of residential mortgage industry experience, preferably supporting a builder relationship.
• FL Mortgage Loan Originator license required.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with builders and customers.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in product guidelines for Conventional, FHA, and VA loans.
• Strong technology skills, with Encompass experience being a plus.
