As part of our rapidly growing origination team, the ZHL Mortgage Loan Officer will play a crucial role in this transformation by focusing on providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the mortgage process. In this role, you will be responsible for originating mortgage loans and managing incoming calls from customers. You will provide timely follow-up and professional correspondence to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners, such as real estate agents, is essential. You will analyze clients' needs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while guiding borrowers through the loan process from inquiry to closing. This includes securing necessary financial and credit information and ensuring all documentation is in order. Additionally, you will be required to complete all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training and Licensing activities, maintain a thorough understanding of various loan programs, and collaborate with team members to share best practices. This role is categorized as an office position, requiring employees to work at a designated ZG corporate office for a significant portion of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their designated office, which is expected to be within 75 miles.

Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans
  • Answer and manage incoming calls from customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service through timely follow up and courteous professional correspondence
  • Establish and build relationships with customers and partners such as real estate agents
  • Analyze clients' needs to ensure compliance and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Consult with borrowers and guide them through the loan process from inquiry to close
  • Secure borrower financial/credit information and other proper documentation
  • Ensure successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training and Licensing activities
  • Understand and comply with current requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of available loan programs including FHA, VA, Conventional, ARM, Jumbo, etc.
  • Successfully structure loans for fulfillment partners to underwrite, process, and fund
  • Collaborate with team members and share best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active NMLS Loan Originator with multiple state licenses, or a Loan Originator working under a bank license
  • Successfully completed the 20-hr SAFE Pre-licensing Education and passed the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test - National Component with Uniform State Content
  • 1+ years of mortgage sales experience
  • 2+ years of sales, call center, and customer service experience highly preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Financial/business background preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Passionate about client relationships and consultative selling
  • Confident working in a phone sales environment
