About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, credit analysis, and underwriting. This role involves evaluating credit worthiness, analyzing financial status, and guiding customers through the loan application process while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and to offer the best loan products
• Guide customers through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary information is collected
• Ensure compliance with fair housing regulations and other legal requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
• Proven work experience as a Loan Officer or similar role
• Knowledge of accounting software, financial software, and mathematical skills
• Familiarity with credit analysis, underwriting procedures, and escrow processes
• Ability to negotiate terms and conditions effectively
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
