About the position

Inside Loan Agents at New American Funding play a crucial role in proactively soliciting new residential mortgage business by handling qualified, live inbound calls generated from the company's marketing leads. This position requires the individual to actively develop and maintain a network of relationships that serve as a source of new mortgage loan business, particularly in the purchase and refinance markets. The Inside Loan Agent is expected to meet established loan quality and production goals, contributing to the company's impressive performance of closing over $1 billion in home loans each month and expanding its servicing portfolio, which currently stands at $70 billion. The role is based in Dallas, TX, with options for remote or hybrid work for those living within 31 miles of the office. Compensation includes a base pay of $9 per hour, with opportunities for overtime, basis points, and tier bonuses. New hires are also eligible for ramp-up opportunities to help build their pipelines, making this a dynamic and rewarding position for motivated individuals. Inside Loan Agents are responsible for building rapport with existing and potential borrowers, ensuring that customer needs are met and expectations exceeded. They analyze customers' financial situations to provide appropriate loan product solutions, excel in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple customer interactions and files daily. The role involves accepting multiple live, qualified inbound leads, locking loans at the point of sale, requesting initial documents from customers, and submitting a paperless loan package to production staff. Additionally, they must structure and price loans accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and leverage customer relationships with existing and potential borrowers to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
  • Analyze customers' financial situations and advise them on the appropriate loan products.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and following up with multiple customers and files daily.
  • Accept multiple live, qualified inbound leads each day.
  • Lock loans at the point of sale, request initial documents from customers, and submit a paperless loan package to production staff.
  • Structure and price loans accurately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of full-time loan origination experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Complete knowledge of conventional and government loan programs (purchase and refinance).
  • Current TX DBO and NMLS license.
  • Four or more additional state NMLS licenses preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Encompass (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in Call Center Sales (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in Loan Origination (2 years preferred).
