About the position

The Mortgage Loan Officer at Kemba Cincinnati Credit Union is responsible for originating various types of mortgage loans, conducting pre-qualification interviews, and preparing loan application packages. This role involves determining the best mortgage options for members, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, and maintaining professional relationships with members, realtors, and builders throughout the loan process. The position is based in West Chester, OH, and requires in-person work at the Operations Center.

Responsibilities

• Originate various types of mortgage loans.
• Conduct initial pre-qualification interviews and prepare complete loan application packages.
• Convey product requirements and determine the best mortgage loan options for members.
• Meet mortgage loan documentation and compliance requirements as determined by the Director of Mortgage Services.
• Develop relationships and serve members, realtors, and builders promptly and professionally.
• Maintain relationships with borrowers and realtors throughout the loan process with open and clear communication.
• Assist mortgage loan personnel as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
• 1-3 years of similar or related experience, preferably in real estate.
• Strong interviewing skills.
• Excellent communication and public relations abilities.
• Good analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Additional coursework in Business or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
