About the position

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at First Horizon Bank, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with one of the most significant purchases of their lives—homeownership. This position allows you to engage with both first-time and seasoned homebuyers, guiding them through the complexities of real estate transactions. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with new and existing clients, which is essential for your success in this role. Your efforts will not only contribute to the growth of the bank but also to the financial well-being of the community you serve. In this position, you will be tasked with soliciting and servicing a variety of residential mortgage loans. This includes interviewing applicants, collecting necessary financial data and documentation, and making informed recommendations regarding the loan products that best meet the borrowers' needs. You will assist buyers throughout the purchase process, ensuring a smooth transition through to closing. Additionally, you will be expected to make both external and internal sales calls, complying with all regulatory, secondary market, and bank policies and guidelines. Your role may also include other duties as assigned, providing you with a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities

  • Soliciting and servicing a variety of residential mortgage loans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of real estate loan documentation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of lending regulations preferred.
