About the position

As an Experience Mortgage Loan Officer at Unison, your primary mission is to originate and promote the unique Mortgage Hybrid/Equity Loan. You will ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and applicable mortgage laws while providing valuable loan recommendations to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete and thorough loan applications and request customer documents.
• Maintain a deep understanding of loan parameters and underwriting guidelines.
• Track customer contact and update conversation logs with pertinent information.
• Resolve problems throughout the loan process.
• Review and explain Loan Estimate (LE), Closing Disclosures (CD), and mortgage documentation.
• Ensure all mortgage regulations and laws are strictly adhered to.
• Maintain MLO license and schedule continuing education with your manager.
• Effectively collaborate with internal and external partners to complete mortgage transactions efficiently.
• Attain established productivity targets and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Originate loans with a high degree of quality and attain zero compliance defects.
• Work with various teams to identify and solve friction points in the process to improve speed of delivery.

Requirements

• Must be a registered and/or licensed officer.
• 2 years of sales experience in a contact center environment.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Previous, recent mortgage experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in underwriting.
