About the position

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at First Horizon Bank, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with one of the most significant purchases of their lives—homeownership. In this role, you will be tasked with soliciting and servicing a variety of residential mortgage loans. This includes interviewing applicants, collecting necessary financial data and documentation, and making informed recommendations regarding the loan products that best meet the needs of borrowers. You will assist buyers throughout the purchase process, guiding them through to closing. Additionally, you will be expected to make both external and internal sales calls, ensuring compliance with regulatory, secondary market, and bank policies and guidelines. The position may also involve other duties as assigned, providing a dynamic work environment where you can thrive. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of real estate loan documentation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of lending regulations preferred.
