About the position

The Mortgage Loan Officer at CMI USA plays a crucial role in assisting clients with finding and applying for mortgage loans. This position is essential in the home-buying process, guiding borrowers through the complex steps of securing financing for new properties while ensuring a smooth and informed experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss financial needs and recommend suitable loan products.
• Educate clients on the mortgage application process, requirements, and repayment structures.
• Assist clients in completing mortgage loan applications and gather required documentation (income statements, tax returns, credit reports, etc.).
• Submit completed loan applications to the underwriting team for approval.
• Evaluate clients' financial status, creditworthiness, and ability to repay.
• Recommend the most appropriate loan products based on the client's qualifications and financial goals.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and underwriters to answer questions, clarify requirements, and provide additional information if needed.
• Keep clients informed on the status of their loan applications.
• Ensure all loan application documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with legal requirements and bank policies.
• Maintain thorough records of all loan transactions and activities.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
• Post Secondary degree in Finance or related field is recommended
• Completed NMLS pre-licensing, and passed safe MLO state exam
• Valid MLO license
