About the position

As a Mortgage Loan Originator (Loan Officer) at US Mortgage Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the mortgage lending process by directly soliciting, originating, and supervising mortgage loans from application to closing on behalf of the company's customers. Your responsibilities will include negotiating and counseling applicants regarding loan interest rates and providing comprehensive information about the loan application process. You will represent the company to the public through various means of communication, including advertising, business cards, brochures, and promotional items, ensuring that all representations are accurate and compliant with regulations. In addition to originating loans, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing innovative marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Establishing and maintaining strong referral relationships with previous clients, realtors, accountants, financial planners, builders, and developers will be essential to your success in this role. You will also be tasked with collecting and distributing necessary information to the company's Processing and Underwriting Department, ensuring that all loans are originated in accordance with the company's policies, guidelines, and applicable laws. You will need to ensure that all documentation is properly prepared, maintained, and readily available for inspection. It is critical to inform the company of any events or concerns that may arise during the loan process, including complaints or investigations. Additionally, you will oversee the storage of closed loan documents and ensure that all advertising and marketing efforts receive prior approval from the company. Compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly regarding telemarketing and the use of the Do Not Call list, is mandatory. You will also be responsible for advising borrowers on the most suitable financing options without steering them towards products that maximize your compensation. Requirements
