About the position

The Mortgage Loan Originator at iServe Residential Lending LLC is responsible for selling loan products and maintaining production standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves significant interaction with borrowers and real estate professionals, requiring strong communication and sales skills. The position emphasizes integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in selling loan products outside the office more than 50% of the time.
  • Submit loans, working efficiently with borrowers, branch, and corporate office.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of current rates, products, company policy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain state licensing and complete continuing education as required.
  • Effectively use all available marketing channels.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with real estate professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved, including branch and operations managers, underwriting coordinators, and borrowers.
  • Present a professional image and demeanor both within the company and externally.
  • Conduct business in accordance with iServe's/NAD's core values of honesty, integrity, and transparency.
  • Act as a role model/leader in achieving organizational results.
  • Seek innovative alternatives to performing assigned duties.
  • Facilitate an effective and respectful work environment.
  • Strive to exceed internal and external customers' expectations.

Requirements

  • Some college coursework in business or finance preferred.
  • NMLS License specific to state of employment.
  • Minimum of two years job-related experience in residential mortgage banking or sales.
  • Basic knowledge of PCs and related Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong sales ability and drive.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism and integrity are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret mortgage documents, real estate sales contracts, and company policies and procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve under various situations.
