About the position

The Mortgage Operations Specialist (Jr Processing) role at NewRez focuses on delivering superior service to residential mortgage borrowers and business partners. The position emphasizes the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company guidelines while managing loan processing tasks. The specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance in loan files, work closely with various internal departments, and maintain a high-quality borrower experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete loan file due diligence for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company guidelines.
• Utilize written and oral communication to obtain necessary third-party documentation.
• Work in conjunction with Processing, Sales, and approved vendors to facilitate loans through the manufacturing process.
• Maintain daily workflow prioritization and ensure timely completion of assigned loan activities.
• Communicate with all third parties involved in the loan process.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Underwriting, Secondary, Closing, and Post-Closing.
• Complete Mortgage Operations Specialist activities according to established conditions.
• Utilize NewRez reporting platform to manage pipeline-related tasks.
• Ensure all files comply with established Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 0-2 years of professional experience, with title experience preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficient with MS Office.
